Erasmus+ Days with Ivanec
STEM-xhibitions Update: Science Art Café Event
On 12th October 2023, High School Ivanec celebrated Erasmus+ Days by sharing positive experiences of participating in the Erasmus+ program and promoting one of the projects currently implemented in the school, called STEM-xhibitions.
As part of the celebration, the school organized a “Science Art Café,” a key activity within the STEM-xhibitions project. This engaging event aimed to introduce the project and its outcomes to all interested participants, providing insight into the innovative approaches used to integrate art into STEM education. A major highlight of the event was the presentation of the pedagogical e-Book for STEM-xhibitions, which showcases how students’ art exhibitions and the adoption of new pedagogical methodologies can enhance the teaching and learning of STEM subjects in secondary education.
The Science Art Café served as an excellent platform for fostering collaboration between teachers and students. Through interactive discussions, hands-on demonstrations, and creative showcases, participants explored the intersection of science and art, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary learning. The event also provided an opportunity for educators to exchange best practices and ideas on how to effectively implement artistic elements in STEM teaching, thereby making science and technology more accessible and engaging for students.
By bringing together educators, students, and stakeholders, the Science Art Café successfully promoted STEM education in an innovative and inspiring way. This initiative not only highlighted the significance of integrating creative methodologies in STEM subjects but also reinforced the value of collaborative learning in shaping future scientists, engineers, and innovators.
Stay tuned for more updates as STEM-xhibitions continues to inspire and transform STEM education!
